Groups:
Groups can be an addition to family / individual counseling, or offer a cost effective way to increase the support in your life on their own. Groups serve a variety of purposes; some are theraputic, they can offer education, groups can be formed for the function of accomplishing a task, or they can be designed to offer support. It is important as you consider joining a group that you find one designed to meet your specific needs.
Military Partners Support Group:
This group is a safe and supportive place to share your unique experiences as the partner of someone in our military (retired, active duty or National Guard). It can be comforting to know that you're not alone, you're not imagining it, and there are ways to feel better and help alleviate some of the stresses that come with being part of a military family.
The group meets every other Thursday from 6-7:30. A minimum of four and maximum of twelve members typically attend, and there are three facilitators, all who have experience working with couples, families and individuals in the military.
This is an open group, all are welcome after a preliminary meeting with one of the facilitators to assure this group meets your specific needs. There is a $20 fee per group session, and a sliding scale is available.

Bereavement Support Group:
Grief following the death of a loved one can be an overwhelming emotional experience, shattering life as we know it. We may long for things to get back to normal, without realizing that “normal” has changed. This Bereavement Support Group is for those who are grieving the loss of a loved one through death. The purpose of the group is to provide emotional support in a safe and accepting atmosphere, and to provide information about the grieving process.
